MA Jean-Charles Psychotherapy and Consulting, LLC, provides psychodynamic therapy to individuals, couples, and families of color. We started our practice due to a shortage of private practices concentrating on people of color. In today’s climate, the feeling of otherness is more acute among people of color. Factor dealing with emotional challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, marital/relationship stress, racial trauma, then it may feel like the world is more unbearable. MA Jean-Charles Psychotherapy and Consulting, LLC’s overall goal is to promote healing and emotional growth by providing a safe space that encourages the development of skills to manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health concerns for clients. Psychotherapy services include life coaching to promote self-efficacy and empower clients to live their best lives.

Consulting Services

MA Jean-Charles Psychotherapy and Consulting, LLC, also provides a continuum of consultation services to small behavioral health private practices and clinics. Our services include office management, credentialing strategy, and development of network proposals. Our consultants have significant policy and behavioral health network management experience. Our work experience includes employment as a Deputy Director with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts DSRIP Community Partner’s program as well as Regional Director of Provider Quality for both Metro Boston and Southeast Region for a Managed Care Entity (MCE). Project success includes developing quality metrics for the Community Partners Program; developing quality measures, training as well as redesign proposals for Massachusetts’ statewide Emergency Service Program (ESP); and developing successful strategies to help improve HEDIS measures. Our consultants have expertise in engaging and collaborating with psychiatric inpatient facilities as well as community services providers including, outpatient, community support programs, and other covered levels of care.

Melissa has a Masters in Social Work from Simmons University and a Masters in Public Health from George Washington University.
